The Football Associations of Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are glad to announce that we would like to support Mr. Aleksander Čeferin, President of Football Association of Slovenia, as candidate to be the new UEFA President.

We have recently had several meetings with Aleksander Ceferin and we share the same strong values related to the future of European football. We have the same interest to implement some reforms and have common view about good governance of the European and the World football. We are looking forward to support the idea to establish a new UEFA Compliance Committee to further strengthen the good governance principles within European football and we are ready to take the responsibility and an active role in such a committee. European football is strong and interesting for many boys and girls at grassroot-level. We are looking forward to support their ambitions to enjoy our sport and become players in men and women football.

We believe that this is the best way for a united and stabile European football community. UEFA is very important for development of our sport and with this proposal we are looking forward to continue solidarity and balance between different stakeholders and levels of football in Europe.

Aleksander Čeferin: "I am very proud and honoured to receive support from countries I appreciate. I am ready to take this responsibility but will discuss this proposal also with other national associations, with the first opportunity already during regional meeting of national associations in Moscow on 8 June, and will come back with a statement".

The above mentioned National Associations will take part of the coming manifestos from all candidates and also organize candidate-meetings prior to the election in September.
